UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS

First episode of Series II on the Sunday 19th February at 9.30 p.m. BBC1 (UK TV)  I am so proud to be part of it.   I think this is the first time for a Downs Syndrome character to be in a major costume drama.  Thanks to Heidi Thomas I get to play a character who becomes more confident and glamorous as time progresses.  The war will make a lot of difference to peoples’ lives.  Hope you enjoy it best wishes Sarah Gordy

‘Sarah Active’ on Youtube and other news

What fun ‘Sarah Active’ on Youtube has got over 25000 hits.  Also looking at clips I realise I was larger then.  I am now down to 8 stone (112lbs) I am doing some filming for TV to be shown next year.  The costume designer is lovely and I understand I am getting a stunning dress so I am working out every day.  Not much I can say right now, a new radio play has been taken up by a BBC producer and in ‘commissioning’.  Another writer is doing research with me on another project.  This has an historical setting and will be very unusual.  Hope you are busy and having fun. best wishes Sarah

Gala Night – Odeon Leicester Square

Well done Richard Bailey, photographer.  Richard won second place in the Sony world wide photographic competition with his ‘After Vermeer’ photographs of Sarah.  To quote Richard ‘ the pictures I took of Sarah were projected onto the cinema screen as big as a house with the music ‘You’re Beautiful’ by James Blunt playing.  It sent goosebumps all over me.  There are also three of the images on display at the exhibition at Somerset House, London’  How lovely thanks Richard.
